DESCRIPTION

This art glass collection is an environmental statement on the melting of the polar ice caps. Flickers of rich red flames dance on the backgrounds of sumptuous sapphire, highlighting the opposite forces of nature--the co-existence of fire and ice. These vases are made to order unless indicated as available.

This hand blown art glass vase is our version of an Amphora vase which is typically a classic two-handled vessel with a long narrow neck. These elegant yet functional pieces were used around the Mediterranean area until the 7th century as a container for wine and other commodities.
